About Us
Mr. Jeremy Berman L.P.O. was born & raised in rural Hancock County. As a youth Mr. Berman participated in school athletics & scouting. As a culmination in scouting he achieved the Eagle Scout Award. Mr. Berman graduated from Riverdale H.S. & was named Senior Student of the Year for Hardin County Schools. Mr. Berman enlisted in the Ohio Army National Guard for an eight year enlistment & during his service was deployed following the 9/11 attack. Mr. Berman graduated from Bowling Green State University in Bowling Green, Ohio with an undergraduate degree in Human Movement Science - Kinesiology with a minor in Sociology. Mr. Berman graduated from Northwestern Medical School in Chicago, Illinois with a graduate degree in Orthotics and Prosthetics. Following two years of residency Mr. Berman became a board certified/licensed practitioner in Prosthetics & Orthotics. Over two decades Mr. Berman has been the managing partner of Findlay American Prosthetic - Orthotic Centre in Findlay, Ohio. Mr. Berman is married with one child.
Mr. Berman is a proud second generation practitioner and facility owner. He began working with his father Mr. Ken Berman L.P.O when he was 13 years old in the family business.
Mr. Kenneth Berman L.P.O. started the business in 1975. Mr. Berman also received his education from Northwestern Medical school in Chicago, was an Eagle Scout, and an Air Force veteran. Mr. Berman was active in the state of Ohio with establishing licensure for the profession and was one of the first to become licensed. Mr. Berman found the profession extremely rewarding and has helped thousands of amputees regain mobility. Mr. Berman is currently retired and happily living in Florida with his wife.

While it took a minute to get my custom shoes in, which was an insurance company issue not them, it was well worth the wait!For the first time in over 18 months I was able to stand up without feeling excruciating pain in my feet and walk like there was never an issue! Well, accept my ankle and knee, which are totally unrelated and have nothing to do with my visit here.My flat feet have never felt support like this! And I’m gonna rock the crap outta these Velcro shoes! No tying my shoes anymore! Beyond impressed with our experience at Findlay American Prosthetics! They got my son in very quick for a consult and Jeremy was so great with explaining how everything works and what we should expect with the AFO braces (he even gave us a tour of their workshop and explained how they make the braces).Our consult was on a Tuesday and the braces were ready that Friday! The braces fit perfectly and my son is very happy with the design he chose. Thanks and a hearty recommendation for Jeremy and all staff at Findlay American Prosthetics. He has always taken care of me above and beyond expectations.I am VA patient. Jeremy has taken care of me for shoe and orthotics for many years. Recently, I came out of five operations for severed quadriceps tendons with 22° quadriceps lag. That meant I could not stand up without a brace. The braces provided through Medicare were unfit for long term use. Jeremy guided my surgeon and me on requesting the correct brace for my situation.The result was a beautiful KAFO brace with drop locks. You cab google that. It is working superbly. It allows me to use both legs to stand, and then lock in the knee with little effort!Thanks Jeremy!

Aside from the overall professionalism of American Prosthetics, Jeremys entire staff is so personable that you feel like a friend or family member. We've gotten several pair of AFO braces for my daughter, each one totally customized to her needs and even her fashionista style! We've been to a few businesses for braces over the years and finding American prosthetics was by far the easiest & most efficient of them all. We are lucky to have them locally! The family owned and operated business goes above and beyond,office ladies are always friendly and helpful & the entire facility is very clean and organized. All of those things are so helpful and reassuring when you're dealing with a high stress lifestyle especially! I highly recommend them for all of your prosthetic needs. We will continue to be long time patients.

i was waiting 7 months at another prosthetic company ( nation wide ) fighting denials, they were unable to get me a leg. I spoke to Jeremy on a Monday by phone he seen me Wednesday fitted me for a prosthetic, and 1 week later he had the leg made and given to me. insurance covered the leg at 100% The other company did not care 7 months of fighting blue cross. where Jeremy was able to get it done. I cant tell you how wonderful his office is. I would highly recommend this practice.

Mr. Berman did a great job on my new brace. I got it in about a week. Mr. Berman made adjustments on the brace before I left. Wonderful work. He is really knowledgeable.
It was a wonderful experience. We called them up when our orthopedic Dr. did not have the right size back brace in stock for our daughter. They got my daughter fitted and in a back brace less than 2 hours later after we called them! They answered all of our questions and explained everything very thoroughly with us. Highly recommend!!
I am an amputee for 66 years. Picked up this new leg on a Tuesday. On the following day went on a 9 day vacation to Disney. The fit was spectacular.

Cannot say enough about Jeremy Berman and Findlay American Prostetics Team. Extra caring and accommodating. Losing a limb is a traumatic experience but the team is so sensitive to the patients needs. My Prostetic was fitted, made and delivered within one week. Amazing service. Whenever I have questions they are so easy to contact whenever I need them. I was lucky to find Findlay American Prosthetics on line while researching my foot pain. Jeremy was extremely helpful and spent quite a bit of time to explain the process and getting things rolling. I have hope that I will be walking pain FREE very soon with their help. I would have given the 6 stars but 5 was the most offered.
Very kind, patient and accommodating. The appointment itself was quick and they were very knowledgeable about my condition. When my walking boots were ready they fit perfectly and he reassured me that I could come in at any time if I had an issue with them!
Jeremy and his team are some of the most empathetic, caring, helpful people. I’ve spoken to a few people who he has helped. They’re seen as, and treated as a person first. The people that he helps are those who either were born needing, or had a traumatic event that caused them to need a prosthetic. They care enough to see them as the person, and help them get their life back. I have not used him, but if for some reason I need a prosthesis I know I would call him. Not only as a friend, but as one of the best out there. This team is one that I would trust in giving me a new life, with meaning, when I would feel at my worst.

Jeremy is top notch period I been to several other prosthetics businesses until I met Jeremy this man treats you like gold better then family I had sores on my leg from other places this man ended it I work 3rd shift I call him at 7 am tell him I got a problem he meets me at his shop with out a question before he even opens I have never felt as good as I do until I met him back feels better leg feels better more confidence he takes time to listen to make your leg right before I leave he don’t let me leave till I’m 100% we won’t even mention the awesome art work he dos far beyond any other place I been within 3 hour drive Jeremy has also wrote off several bills that my where my insurance wouldn’t cover it all when you google prosthetics his name should be right beside it 🦾🦾🦾🦾
I loved the energy that Jeremy came into the room with. Easy to trust and talked as he shared his experience of his trade. Took him no more than 5 minutes at best. Took measurements for a "turtle shell "and brought back next day to practice using it.Stopped at his business on way home to make minimal adjustments. Findlay American Prosthetic -Orthotic Center has been wonderful to my daughter, Cortney, who is autistic & deaf. Cortney had problems with her walking because her feet were leaning over the sides of her shoes. Over eleven years ago we went to Findlay American Prosthetic – Orthotic Center & they fitted Cortney with custom orthotics shoe inserts. She has been wearing them ever since! The staff & office personnel were extremely polite, knowledgeable & helpful. They treated her & me with respect! Recently I noticed that the thin white cover inside the orthotics shoe inserts were starting to wear. We now live in N.C. & was in Ohio for a wedding on October 20, 2023. I asked Mr. Jeremy Berman, owner of Findlay American Prosthetic-Orthotic Center if he could replace the cover. He said yes without any hesitation. He replaced the inside cover of the orthotics shoe inserts & mailed it back to us. Cortney was extremely happy to receive them back yesterday, October 25, 2023, & immediately put them in her shoes. Findlay American Prosthetic did a great repair job & was fast too! Thank you so much Mr. Berman!I would recommend anyone especially with special needs or developmental disability to receive services from this business. They will take good care of you like they did for my daughter.
They did an amazing job ! I could hardly walk before I had to use a cane my leg felt unstable and my knee would snap back very hard.the brace made feel more stable right around first use and I felt no more need for a cane. Fit perfectly and was comfortable. A very big thanks to everyone involved.
